Soggy by name, Soggy by nature. We “The Soggy Bottoms” are a mountain bike group that hail from Hailsham, East Sussex, UK. Every Sunday we hit the trails, bike parks, lanes and more. More often than not we find ourselves on the Southdowns which just happens to be on our doorstep. The rides are a good mixed bag of easy to flippin eck. We take on some good hill climbs and some fast downhill’s. The views from the Southdowns are always amazing regardless of the weather. Overlooking the sea, the vine yards, country hills and valleys, It’s also home to some very special historical sites that date back 1000s of years. Sometimes we venture to other areas, places like Bewl Reservoir, Bike Park Wales, The Surrey Hills & Bedgebury. As the club grows so will the rides and the destinations.
Every year I encourage the members to join me on a Charity ride to raise money for Action Medical Research. This is an Epic road ride but we do it on mountain bikes just to add to the challenge.
We have members from Hastings, Seaford, Polegate, Hailsham among others. For anyone that wants to come along they can drop me a message on Soggy Bottoms MTB Facebook page which also has more content. You can also drop me an email through our subscribe link.

Action Medical Research is the Soggy Bottoms chosen charity. Every year we help raise funds for the amazing work they do. Being able to help by doing something for those that are less fortunate than ourselves gives us a great sense of pride.
The Action Medical Research charity is an incredible charity finding cures and treatments for a lot of illnesses and conditions that effect our young children and babies. Currently funded projects include research into premature birth, cerebral palsy, childhood infections, juvenile arthritis, leukaemia and some rare and distressing conditions
Please sponsor or donate to help this amazing Charity and the work they do. Click the links on our page to go directly to the charities website to find out more. Maybe you too could do an event or even help at one of the organised fund raising projects they do.
